Resources for Anger Management & Domestic Violence

No one deserves to be hurt or live in fear. No matter what anyone says, if you are being abused, it is not your fault. If you don’t get help, the abuse will not stop. You may feel alone, but there is help.

There are things you can do to plan for your safety: (1) If you’re in immediate danger, call 911. (2) Talk with someone you trust or a counselor about what you’re going through. Use the phone numbers listed here (on one of the links to the left) to reach someone who can help. (3) Pack a bag with a change of clothes, important papers, an extra set of keys, and a roll of quarters; keep the bag in a place where you can grab it when you need to leave.

The harm that children experience from witnessing or experiencing violence at home can be very serious, affecting many aspects of their growth and development.

Getting help and having supportive adults in their lives, however, can reduce the impact on children of witnessing or experiencing violence.
